I love telling people about this wonderful church that God is allowing me to pastor. Birthed out of a vision of Pastor Herschel Dean that it's okay to be excited when worshipping Almighty God, he and a few like-minded people established Immanuel Baptist Church in 1974. Since that time, God has used Immanuel to do many great and wonderful things but the best is yet to come!

We are Southern Baptist and believe the Cooperative Program is the best way to win the world to Christ. We also support many other mission projects and believe strongly in preparing God's children for His work by offering every individual an opportunity to study God's word through small group Bible study, intense discipleship, and home prayer groups. Our worship services are filed with joyous praise and worship (both old and new!!), led by Kid Mixon and Atoned Praise Team, and relevant sermons one can apply to today's fast-paced world!
 
After being in the business world for ten years, I answered the call to the ministry. I have been in the ministry since 1985, and God has always been faithful. In October 2000, God called me to Immanuel. If you are looking for a church home, desire rolling up your sleeves and getting involved, and you're not opposed to having a great time worshipping the Lord, Immanuel is at the very least the place to visit. We want you to be where God wants you to be! If it's here, good; if not, that's okay too!
